That trackbar can be rebuilt by changing the tierod end on the drivers side. As for a way to remove it. I would use a small pipe wrench to hold the threaded portion while removing the nut.

I am haveing the same problem on my jeep. Its an 87 with 257,000 miles on it.I just put my lift on,I checked for cracked welds,I replaced everything I could think of that I could do myself. But that noise is still there. The only thing that I didn't check really close was the track bar mount.Could this be the source of the noise?

well i took my car to get a another opion on what it could be and they told me that it was my sway bar links ....so i got both of them ...going to put them in soon and see it that takes it away

i dont think this would be from the sway bar links but if you are going to replace them get the jks ones they are the quick disconnect ones and work very well the nut holding on the stock trackbar is a pain to remove but just use some penetrating lube on it for a couple of days before hand and it will be a lot easier hope this helps you
