Thanks for all the info guys, I appreciate it. I'll be workin on it soon. Hopefully I can get it done today. My dad wants to just get all new stuff if we can't weld it so we'll see how that goes. Since the bracket is a dealer item it may take a few days (unfortunately) if we go that route. I've already caught the disease, without my jeep I'm completely dysfunctional.

Seems like I remember Rubicon Express has the bracket - stronger than stock.
It's a fairly common failure - stock it's just too weak. Welding and re-inforcing or replacing with a stronger one is best. You already proved stock is weak!

The axle end - the bolt goes through the brackets, then there's a flag nut on the back side. It's a regular nut with a piece of sheet metal welded to it to help you get it in position and hold while you turn the bolt.
Dealers have them - get a new bolt and flag nut $8?
Or you can make your own flag nut - weld or JB Weld a little sheet metal piece or stiff wire to a nut - use that. Good trick to use wherever a nut or bolt is hard to access.

I saw a xj at jeep beach that had cut two driveshafta and made a trac bar... One was smaller then the other so he fitted it inside the other to get his "bend" and filled the gab with weld... In fact it still had the grease fittings coming out the side... Lol... It was big ans flexed but up close it was horrible... Stacked blocks in the back and everything...

The bracket I was talking about was the one connected to the frame. It turns out the bracket is fine, what we thought was a crack was just from the grease oozing out and making it look like that. We're gonna get a new track bar with a new bushing on the end. We think the bushing just gave out inside since it just spun when we tried to get the castle nut off and it had play moving left to right, not pivoting. We ended up having to cut the rod and then drill a hole through the bracket to get a punch through and punch the rest of the rod out. A new bolt in the hole should keep it rigid again. Hopefully getting a new track bar with a new bushing pressed in it will be the answer. I'm gonna try to find one with a regular nut instead of a castle nut. If this doesn't fix my problem, I don't know where else to turn.

Really? Damn. A normal nut just seems so much easier.

The easier to put on the easier to come off... Lol... You really want your steering or trac bar to come off at 70mph? They take a ton of vibes from the road ya know...

Yeah, that's true. If I can even get it up to 70mph. My renix doesn't like to go over 50mph. Everything gets all shaky and then I feel like it's gonna explode and it's not fun. Haha.
