Tranny fluid suck t case dry

HUH?
Doesn't work like that.
Just cause they are bolted together doesn't mean they share the same reservoir.
Transfer case has a fill and drain plug.
So how do you know that the transfer case is dry?

I added fluid till it was full as the fill hole on the t case yes it does leak it's not major yes the tranny leaks it's not major so how does my tranny go from 1 pint low to quart over and my t case empty only had it idle for 30 minuts

Details are important.
My understanding is that there are seals between the 2.
But it is also my understanding that one doesn't leak into the other.
Just leaks out.
But apparently not the case.
Thinking you are separating the two once you determine for sure that's what it is.

But the two hole thing is a new one for me.
First thing that comes to mind is how do you maintain proper levels?
Thinking going up or down hill fluid would be transferred to one or the other.
Be interested to find out if that is true.

maybe it is dodge. My 79 gmc has a 241 t case and it isn't connected to tranny like my jeep. my moms chevy is 2004 and the tranny and tcase are connected simalar.
