Default which tranny mount to use

I have a 91 XJ with the manual 5 speed tranny. the rubber transmission mount is broken. every time I purchase a new mount it is to tall. the one that came out of my jeep is short. even the dealer can't get me a short one. E-Bay has some old used short ones but i don't want old and used rubber mounts. does any one know of a vender or place I can order the correct mount from ? every time i get one it is the wrong one to tall. push's the tranny all the way up against the floor and the angle of the drive shaft is way to extreme. I need the short mount. I never know it would be so hard finding the correct mount for me XJ. any help would be great

Thanks in advanve

Can you post a pic of the one you have? Does it look similar to this one?

Are you sure your existing mount is supposed to be that short? Are you sure that it's not a regular mount that has collapsed with age?

That's exactly what I was getting at asking for pics above! I've started saving pics of all these broken parts.

I don't think there is a "short" transmission mount. If you're having drive line issues with the stock mount, there's probably something else going on.

How much of a lift do you have? Do you have a SYE?

What's the condition of your motor mounts? If your transmission mount is sagging, I'm wondering if your motor mounts have also failed so that the engine is sitting lower than it should. That would affect the angle at the back.

Default short mount

Thanks guys for all the input. I have considered the collapsed mount theory but when I go to the junk yard I see a few short mounts in the pile of taller ones. and the link you sent does show the short mount. I have thought about getting the taller one but I would have to get longer bolts for the cross member as I would have to put spacers in between it and the frame to get the drive line straight. I have a stock XJ no lift. just can't seem to find the short mount and wonder if any one has ever run across this before, I can't take a photo as it is installed in my jeep. I wish I took a photo when I pulled it. the taller one push's up on the tranny so high that it is tight against the floor and the U-Joint right at the back of the tranny has a pretty extreme angle on it. I didn't want to leave it like that. I will check that link you sent. that sure looks like the short mount I need. Thank you very much.
