tranny problems after motor swap... need a point in the right direction.
long story short, guy blew motor on a 99 XJ, hired me to fix it... i swapped out the motor trans and tcase as one, put the motor/trans back in then bolted up the tcase... everything was going swell...
i hooked all the electronics back up, adjusted the linkage, filled everything, started her up and cranked right over... tried putting it into reverse and drive and no dice at all. adjusted the linkage by putting trans into 1st by hand, disconnecting the linkage and then shifting the selector into 1st, hooked right up like how its supposed to, started up and still nothing..
when i put it into gear the torque converter makes a hum type of noise like its trying to transfer the power..
the trans has fluid, the pump works as if i disconnect the cooler lines itll shoot fluid out of it...
i disconnected the TCM to try shifting it manually into gears because i read up somewhere that it should work that way as well if the tps was bad, but that didnt do a damn thing either. i think im gonna check the tcase linkage as well but i dont think it'd be in neutral because when i put the trans into park, itll not move or anything. kinda seems like the linkage is off but i tried adjusting it?
im really at a loss on fixing this damn thing and just want it out of my driveway like yesterday.. tomorrow im gonna go back over all the connections and make sure a pin isnt bent and then re-dialect grease everything and tape everything back off.
If anyone could help me, point me in the right way, ill paypal you for a lunch and some drinks or something. seriously. thanks in advance for any and all help that yall may be.

Did you push the torque converter back into its spot inside the trans? Seen it 100's of times people didn't push the converter all the back in and wrecked the splines on the trans.

yeah everything lined up fine when it was out of the jeep, all bolts are/were snug and the converter was straight up.. that piece that goes into the flywheel was in place as well... i dont think the bellhousing would line up properly if that wasnt the case? ive done 3 other motor swaps and never had any issues similar to this one..=

Did you check to see if the Torque Converter/Oil pump is working?
With tranny cold, pull dipstick and see if ATF is at, or near, the top of the full range, start vehicle and see if ATF dropped to near the bottom of the dipstick.
