Hey all,
Both my trans cooler lines were leaking, so I replaced them with brand new ones. Well one of the new lines is still leaking right where the quick connect near the radiator is located. This is the first time I've dealt with quick connect (which as I've found out aren't very quick to disconnect when they've been sitting for roughly 15 years), and is there anything special I should be doing to ensure no leaking? I'm going to reseat the quick connect this afternoon and hope it's just not on there right, but basically what I'm asking is what are your experiences with quick connect? Anyone else ever have any issues? Also, I bought brand new little plastic locking pieces instead of using the 15 year old mangled ones. The new lines came with o-rings already installed so I didn't use any additional ones.

OK, Quick disconnects 101.....First of all they suck and there is no easy way that I know of to put them on and have them seal right. You just have to make darn sure the O rings are in there in the right spot as best you can and then muscle F**k it on until it clicks. That quick disco on you tranny cooler line by the radiator is just like the one that connects your fuel line to the fuel rail.
