Ok i was wheelin this weekend and my transfer case was poping alot acting like 4lo did not want to engage but after a while it did then it would pop out and the back in is this a sign it is going out or the gears are not workin right? i have the NP242 case with 2wd,4hi part time 4hi full time N and 4lo could i do a NP231 swap? or could i swap a rubicon TC under it with the 4 to 1 ratio ? please help

 

Have you checked your linkage? Maybe something is bent or is not engaging properly.

TC
