Default Transfer case question

If the vehicle is turned off and in park and then someone tries to pull it would that damage the transfer case?

parking pawl dammage!!! poss broken chain in transfer case!!! depends which part is weaker at the time it was towed!!! prob trans unless in 4x4 when towed!!!

Yikes!

And yeah, I could see that happening. The Transmission isn't going to budge, unless the transfer-case was in neutral, it'll be on the receiving end of -all- the force. Snap, Crackle, Pop, Rice Crispies!
