Transmission Cooler Line Questions
My upper transmission oil cooler line is leaking where it foes from the hardline to the rubber part. I know that I need the line but do I need to buy anything else? I am attaching pictures of the other two things that I am not sure if I need. Please let me know...shayn
I know I need this.
This one goes into the transmission but do I need this or can I reuse the old one?
And lastly...do I need this piece?

I am ordering off rockauto so I would rather not do that since I will have to pay restocking fee as well as shipping back.

So if you break that plastic clip and we tell you just to order the line then we're wrong.
If you don't break the plastic clip and we tell you to order it just in case then we're wrong.
Your local autozone/advance auto/Napa/whatever doesn't carry any of these?
We don't know what youll need and most people tend to lean more towards being prepared in case something breaks or strips out.
What i would do is clip the steel line and replace it with rubber gas line and clamp off the ends.

just coat the whole connection in RTV. Might take a couple tries to get it to seal right but it'll work. That's what I did.

Just get the line you show and the cooler line connector, not that bottom fitting.
Edit: And you'll need a tool like this to decouple the quick disconnect fitting on the line.
This one is made by Autocraft. Got it from Advance Auto Parts. It's for 3/8" tube, like the cooler lines.

If the only place it's leaking is the quick connect fitting, why don't you just replace that section with trans cooler hose and clamps? Works fine.
There is no need to completely replace that whole line and all those connections...
