Default transmission doesnt transmit properly.

Ok so here it is. 96 cherokee sport 4x4 4.0 aw4 trans.

So while driving yesterday I noticed my transmission waits till about 3k before shifting into 2ndit and almost 4k before shifting into third and it doesn't want to shift into 4thit at thevproper speed either. Also its really easy to make it downshift now. As in if I even depress my foot so much as an inch or so it down shifts. It never did any of this before. Any help would he nice. I have heard things like tcu and tps being tossed around but further insight and help would be great. Thanks guys!

This is listed elsewhere on the forum but try this. Push and hold the release button on the kick down cable that attaches to throttle body for the transmission. Then while doing this shove the cable all the way in. Then have someone step on the gas while your still holding the button and it should hopefully remove a lot of slack from the line. Mine shifts so smooth you almost can't feel it.

How's the fluid condition? New fluid usually smooths out the shifts a bit.
