Default transmission fluid color

So I recently changed (not flushed) my transmission fluid and after running it for about 15-20 min I noticed the color of the fluid go from a pink to a darker red. I only replaced 3 quarts of the fluid. I know that the torque converter holds fluid and it doesn't come out in the change but I'm just wondering if its the old fluid mixing with the new or if its more serious. Am I being too picky?

New mixing with old.

Drain and refill again. It may take three times total.

Your call. Doesn't make sense to let it go too long between drains/refills.
