1995 jeep cherokee 4wd transmssion leak
ive been having problems with my jeep transmission, and decided to search for forums and stumbled on this site. i rebuilt the engine a year ago and drove it, transmission leaked, went to fix it found a line was loose at the quick disconnect and from the bellhousing, fixed both then replaced transmission and seal once again, still leaked from the bellhousing... then replaced torque converter out of a parts jeep i had, ran for 7 months and it started again... i am clueless of what the problem is and would grewatly appreciate some help pr pointers

I have a bad leak to in the same spot, drips from the same bolt but the fluid looks more like motor oil. I was going to replace the rear main seal and oil pan gasket but now i dont know if thats the right move.

It could be time to start your own thread instead of dragging up something that was started in 2008 and was last updated in 2013.
In fact, I'm quite sure it is.

I would look at the lines that run the from the passenger side of the transmission, forward along the pass side of the engine oil pan. Sometimes the clips wear through the lines and they leak. You can buy the entire replacement line, or repair what you have using either some rubber line and hose clamps or some new tube and compression fittings.

This post is old, so you should probably start your own post. In fact, you are the second person who has done this on this post as shown by the quote above.
