Don't sweat it. Change the fluid several times, as recommended, or follow the recommendation in my sig for a complete and completely safe flush.


You are probably good to go for another 50 or 100 thousand miles.

(But service it regularly!)

Give it up? the ignorance of some people is great. So what if it was a recommendation? Hate to tell you but that's what dealers use the the AW4. But you go ahead and do what you want

Hmm you're right, maybe the dealerships are trying to have tons of trannys come back junk so they can pay for them, makes plenty of sense. Lol

Not saying I'm wrong. I'll run what dealers say, have no no problem with it for years with 3 jeeps. thanks though.

Hey you all, My owners manual says that the +3 is only to be used in transmissions behind the 2.5L engine. If the trans is behind the 4.0L to use Dexron III 0r Mercon nothing about Mercon III. This is from the '99 owners manual.
