trouble putting it in reverse

Default trouble putting it in reverse

I have a Jeep 1995 xj and every time i reverse out of my drive way then i put it in reverse and press the gas pedal and it takes a while then grabs then goes..not a big problem doesn't really bother me but i was just wonder what it the problem...thanks

Auto trans im assuming?

Check your fluid levels. Maybe A fluid/filter change in the tranny would help. If not you may need some adjustments done in there.

How long is the engine running before you put it in reverse? Reverse gear uses the most oil to make it happen. All the oil is draining out of the upper tranny and has to be replaced when started again.
