I have a question about checking the AC fuses.

There are 2 things listed:
Engine Bay Fuse Box (PDC)
AC Compressor Clutch Relay
Fuse #9 AC Clutch Relay

But, in the diagram, Fuse #9 redirects you to Fuse #27.
But fuse #27 is "sentry key immoibilzer"
Why would Fuse #9 refer to another fuse?
What does that even mean?

Fuse F9 not only feeds the AC Compressor Clutch Relay circuit, it also feeds fuse F27, B+ at the SKIM.

That list should read "Fuse 9 A/C Clutch Relay + Fuse 27 in PDC".

Cool.

What program did you use to mark up that diagram?

Nice diagram!

Anyone know what kind of relay I need to shop for if I want to replace it?

What is the science behind a fuse feeding power (or being chained) to another fuse?

Just pull the relay out and take it to the parts store, they'll hook you up.
No real science at all. Every circuit has a fuse. They just chose to piggyback a lower amp and rarely used circuit off the power for the A/C clutch relay.

Just go to an auto parts store and tell them you need an AC Compressor Relay.

Science? Electrical engineering.

Note that the fuse Amp rating gets smaller downstream. If the circuit for the downstream fuse shorts it will blow that fuse before getting to the upstream fuse.

Just need to buy some test leads.

I never did use paint before. I guess I'll have to brush up on it.

Thanks

Check the wires headed to the clutch, I know sometimes they come loose

Relays are cheap. Proper DMM's and test leads are not....just get a new relay.

NP. Paint is a great tool. Super easy to use, works great for tutorial types of things, highlighting areas on pics, etc.....

At $20, they're not exactly cheap.

But, this is an opportunity to keep a spare junkyard relay on hand.
I am going to get one of each kind.
