try again Fixed gas line leak but now won't start
I guess I put my question in the wrong forum, it is not easy to navigate this place, anywho, I have a 2001 Cherokee 6 cylinder, I noticed a small gas leak at the point where the rear metal line matches up with a plastic one from the front, under the driver's seat, so as it is very cold out I tried a temporary patch by cutting out the offending area and sliding a larger piece of compressor hose over both lines, it has stopped the leak but now the thing won't start, it does when I put gas in the throttle body and there is gas coming out of the fuel rail, I guess I need to cjheck the pressure but don't have a gauge, so I will have to try to do that, just wondering if the patch I did could be doing something, seems like it should be the same, but I would appreciate any answers or info on this, thanks

If there isn't a nice and tight seal there it could be sucking air into the fuel line. Is the motor trying to start and just kind of sputters? If it does start, will it stay running if you give it some throttle?
