Default Turn Signal Dilemmas

Just got done replacing a cracked head, heater core, and leaf springs, and am trying to get a MA sticker. When I put the front end together after replacing the cooling system, one bulb in the front right parking light was out. When I used the right turn signal, I got the hyper flash. Replaced all of the turn signal bulbs, front and rear, with LED bulbs and replaced the flasher. No longer have hyper flash, but that one bulb was still out.
Went to fix it the other day. Tested by switching sockets onto that connector, and the light would come on if I had the socket half plugged into the connector. Put everything back together and now I’m in a worse situation. The original bulb is still not turning on. When I go to use my turn signal or hazards, both bulbs do nothing. Only the side marker light blinks.
I did notice that sometimes the lights would blink on when I was moving and adjusting the wires to put it all back together. I do not know what to do here other than replace the whole header panel wiring harness.

EDIT: I decided to start with UKXJs advice on replacing the socket. It worked, and I got my sticker. Thanks for all of the helpful input that was received.

I know heaps about wiring, sorry, but its super hard to read and understand your post, probably I am just too stupid

anyway, dont even think about replacing harnesses

I am not sure what you have done. Changing to LED has some pitfalls ad tricks, especially flasher relays

Best as I can tell you have some urgent issue with maybe a front flasher globe not working properly ?

So thats what needs urgently fixing ?

You need to trace the sockets and wires of the non functioning globe using a test light and multimeter to find out what is happening to the 12V, check low resistance between ground, run jumper wires to test things where needed etc.

Ideally (necessarily) you will need to look at the circuit diagram to identify wire colors

pull the led's and replace with regular bulbs....if all your directional signals work properly then you have an issue with the low voltage that led's uses. You may need to wire in load equalizer or resistor...check this out for additional info.

100% this. I would always recommend anyone with their jeep XJ/MJ to make sure everything is functioning 100% on the factory incandescent bulbs before switching to LED

All good sound advice but let's take this one step at a time.

You've not mentioned side/parking/position (whatever you call them) lights, so I'm assuming they all work - so it's not a ground issue

If it's the same turn signal that doesn't work after replacing the bulb with an LED, it wasn't the bulb - but, for test purposes I'd still replace both the bulbs on that side with known good ones, as a starting point.

As you didn't get hyperflash with the LED's, the flasher must've been replaced - so probably not that.

I've never worked out if you can unplug the harness for the 2 sockets but, if you can, swap in the one from the left.

Everything points to a bad connection & my prime suspect would be the socket, which might just need a good clean & a little gentle persuasion on the contacts. If all else fails, replace them, it's not like they're expensive, (yes do them both while you're at it)
