Default Turn Signal Indicator Stuck

The driver side indicator was stuck on when I purchased this XJ, but only when lights were on. I first assumed it was because the front signal was out. It 'mostly' corrected when I changed that lamp but after every ignition I could see a small amount of energy in the indicator arrow representing as a now dim light. That dim light would go out when the turn signal was used.....return every ignition. After a couple days the new signal lamp blew and the dash indicator is stuck on again when lights are on.

I hope that is enough detail. '90 4.0 AT without all the extra power goodies.

1, 2, 3, and 5 to start

Your switch (multifunction control arm) may be faulty, but on 1987-1990 XJs most of the problems are wiring related.
