Underlying Swirl/Rotational Noise from engine bay
Hey guys,
This noise started a few months ago but hasn't had any negative impacts. I just want it gone now..
This swirling/rotational noise can best be described as spinning a marble around in a circle in a metal can (not clanging) but a relatively smooth circular sound. Another odd way of describing it would be the "metal sounding version" of blowing constant air bubbles underwater. (I think the first sounds better)
It is best heard inside the car (to avoid hearing normal engine noise) while being quiet. I don't think this could be picked up by a sound recorder. My girlfriend hears it and my Dad was able to pick it out under the engine note once.
This noise DOES NOT vary with engine speed. I hear it when I'm sitting at lights and it hasn't always been there (I think)
Let me know if you hear this on yours or know what the issue is. Thanks!

I had a similar sound, I only heard it at idle though. It was just my serpentine was tensioned too tightly. Putting too much strain on my psp. I loosened the tension and greased it and it went away. I'm not sure if this is exactly what you were talking about, but mine was making a similar sound to what you described.
