My 97 has 4.5 springs and spacers in the front and 4.5 leafs with shackles in back, and I really dont need that much lift to run 33's seeing as how the fenders are trimmmed. It rides a little hard and right now also, so I am thinking if I pull the spacers from the front and go back to a stock spring hanger it will drop it evenly and help the ride. Or do I pull the spacers and put stock leafs and leave the shackles? BTW it has control drop brackets with aftermarket lowers, adjustable track bar, sway disco's, and a TC drop.

you could try a shackle relocation bracket to get your shackle angle back and increase flex

Removing the spacers and going back to stock spring shackles ought to drop you back down a couple inches. I'm not sure how the drops for the CA's would factor in. If you do decide to do away with the shackles and spacers PM me, I'd be interested in purchasing them.

^^^ what he said. Not to sure if the drop brackets tho. Like ^he said tho, If ya get rid of the drop brackets you gotta buyer for those also. Btw I run a 4.5 in rc lift with 33s and rub just a hair in the rear due to no bump stops.

You can always build your own drop brackets. To me the rcs dont look beefy enough. Here is a pick of the rcs and then a pic of mine (not all the way done but you gat the idea). I didnt like that one side of the upper control arm mount was just bolted on. so i made it all one solid piece

I will look into the shackle relocate brackets, didnt know they existed, because the shackles are straight up and down right now. If I drop it I'm not sure if I would even need the Control arm drop brackets or not. I really dont mind it being as high as it is, but I drive this about 20 miles on dirt roads when I use it, and I would like to be able to hual butt and still ride half decent, and yet have a trail capable rig. So I figured maybe lose a couple of inches. Or maybe I'm all wrong and just need to build some long arms, and fix the shackles in the back?

Nice. Would love to build some but due to lack of equipment and skills don't see it happening. But your right yours look way more stable then the others. Btw I think I aww somewhere some upper drop brackets, should those be used in union with the lowers? Maybe I read wrong tho, they may not exist.
