It looks okay, but I did this mod myself in my Cherokee years ago and it's still shaking the interior years later. Was inexpensive, not hard, and I still feel good about having done it myself. I would have to check my Car Domain site, but it's quite possibly the first mod I attempted on my XJ.

Yours looks good!, just curious is it a sealed enclosure? or just a board? I orderedmine b/c i am not much of a carpenter & i wanted a sealed enclosure to make the sub work efficently.

Sorry no pick from the back , but i will get a few measurments, and yes it is a sealed enclosure 3/4 mdf.

Hey Stationwagon,

For the benefit of those who may want to try it, post a link to your write up. I've looked at it and it's worth everyone seeing it. Might even get it into the writeup section! I'm still kicking around the idea of doing that but mine works pretty good.

Captainwoot,

Thanks for the pic with the measurements, that's exactly what I was looking for!

Good idea, his post w/pics of the box he built are quite nice - I know I'm interested in seeing it and would appreciate the write up as well.

Been a couple years since I updated the CD site, but here's the link. Not much of a write-up ... like I said, it was my first real "mod". I have tweaked it over the years, the most important adjustment being more insulation and better sealing. I should go back & add that stuff ... soon.

It was fairly well sealed when I first did it. My sub is a very powerful long throw 10" and I needed all the room back there. Since the initial install I've re-opened it & completely sealed off the C & D pillars, and isolated the area where the seat belt enters. Works for me, with the benefit that the music rattles the interior when I want it to, but doesn't disturb the peace.

come and get it!! Gotta go through my two kids who love it though.
The bumper is for sale. It's custom made and not a cheap for real steel one, plenty stout but I want a JCR Offroad.
