upper ball joint popped out!! Axle ruined?

Wait, wait, wait.....
Any pics of the balljoint in the "Popped Out" condition?
The castle nut will prevent the ball joint from moving upwards and the flange on the ball joint body will ptrevent it from getting pulled thru the inner C.
Then there's the lower ball joint keeping the knuckle in place as well.....
Something don't sound right.....

If the C is bored out, i will get a replacement axle and rebuild it for use when the time gets closer.

So, you have a good point and I wasn't thinking outside of the cubical.

The upper joint is installed from the top down and the flange is on top of the inner C.

yup, that ridge you see hitting the C is about an 8th of an inch from the C in my ride, when the wheel is off the ground it will wiggle but will not go back into the hole possibly indicating that the C might still be OK or not totally ruined.

It doesnt unless the ball joint is broken. Which i have done, on the trail! that was a long day.

He wasnt the guy who did the original install, he will be the guy fixing it this go round.

UPDATE**** Yay me, I need a new axle. it took 2 little hammer taps to get the top ball joint in.... I'll be looking at trying to find a new axle. Just my luck
