Ok, here goes.

I drive a 98 Cherokee, 2.5, 4 cyl, EFI, with AC. Tranny is a 5 speed manual. A few years ago, the upper hose broke near the radiator. I was able to cut off the bad part and just reattach it to the radiator. That worked ok until I had a rebuilt engine put in and the mechanic was unable to find a new hose. It is currently two hose spliced together. I have been to every parts house in town, to two different dealerships and the result has always been the same: The hose they show to be stock for that car, is way way too short. My hose is a good foot or more longer. I have no idea what else to do. Does anyone have any idea why the stock listing doesn't match, and what I can do to find out what hose goes on there?

Do not use a junk yard hose, you're just asking for trouble. www.rockauto.com will have the hose.
