Using cigarette lighter pigtail for push to start?
Hi all, I wasn't able to find the issue behind my no start problem with my jeep, so I figured it'd be easier to wire up a push start directly to the starter. From what I understand, wiring directly from battery to the button is a fire hazard, so its best to find a 12v source that is only on when the key is in run. Is the cigarette lighter the best 12v source for this. I really don't want to splice into any other wires and I don't use the cigarette lighter ever, so if anyone has done something similar, please give some input.
