Good luck, you should send some pictures of your beer-can setup when you're finished.

Stock canister only needs to store 15-18lbs of vacuum.
Can withstand alot more, but the 4.0L doesn't get much higher than 20lbs

The Keg Can...will collapse as it was designed for pressure...not vacuum.

Without your vacuum canister your vacuum front axle disconnect will not work and your heater controls will not work.Yeah, another wonderful thing I learned about the XJ the hard way.

If you are really into fabbing, you could reinforce the sides of the can (if you are 100% insistent on having it set up just so.). Or, I could go pick one up for you from the JY on sunday. I'm picking up some parts (you pay for part, S&H, and $5 overhead).

Thank your lucky stars for that non vacuum Dana 30 everyday, brother. I do have a question for you, though. How is my gas maileage with the non disco front end?

I got a non-disco... I get great mileage as long as the damn OBD-II system and all it's*#*$& sensors for engine management are working good.
Although I passed emissions last week.....

I saw a prius get on there, the emissions machine took one look at it and was like "QUICK PASS"

And then my jeep was next....took almost five minutes for the sensor to be like "well, it won't kill you...."

Rock on Bowtie Guy!!! You dodged the emmissions bullet one more time. When and if you get ready to shoehorn a big block chevy rat motor into your Jeep, give me a call. I want a piece of that action.

I had an idea for improving emissions test results, but I'm sure it's illegal.

Edit: I know it's illegal. So I will not discuss it on an open thread.
