Default Vacuum hose diameter?

Ok, so I am needing to fix or "patch" an area on the jeep where the stock vacuum tubing has broke in half. Its that section next to the battery. It has caused my air vents to only blow out the defrost area. With that said, does anyone know what size of diameter vacuum hose I need to go to pick up at the store to repair this area??

Measure the outside diameter of the plastic tube. Select a rubber vacuum hose with an inside diameter slightly smaller.

Thanks for the sarcastic response. I asked because I am not around the vehicle and was hoping to pick up some on the way home when driving by the auto parts store.

Grab a foot of a few different sizes. You'll always use it.

you can heat up the hose to massage it over fittings. I agree, you'll use it for something. you could check their return policy and maybe take back what you don't use, depending on how nice they're feeling
