Thanks for the confirmation, that is not orange RTV. It is some overspray from a can of red spray paint that I am in the process of painting for when I do the swap.

The only issue is if I hit him up for more paint and he cannot see it sitting in my driveway.......haha. I am using the yellow on a diff. cover and I like that one too.

I am in the beginning of this whole thing, so I want to try a couple things and see how it looks. I would imagine any body painted by 10 year old spray paint won't last long no matter where you are. I have been neighbors with the guy for five years and he had sold the Kubota shop before I moved in.

apparently, the guy i bought it from, purchased it from a man who inherited it from a relative who passed away. murdered to be exact. it sat for 6 years, untouched. so this guy says he changed engine oil, filter, trans, put a new battery, and some tires on it. the tires will need replacing before too long, but he told me he was just gonna use it for a hunting truck. i bought it, had to go through the whole bonded title process to get a title. he didn't have it. i want to be able to drive it on the street. also ranch/huntin use. I'm debating on leaving the camo or going one solid color. he actually did a decent job on it. some runs here and there, but i was impressed.

The camo job is one of a kind for sure, I need to paint mine but there is so much other stuff to do I would rather have a strong running and mechanically sound XJ than a shiny one sitting in my driveway.
