I run Rotella T6 all year but have recently started substituting for 1qt of Marvel Mystery Oil. The MMO really quieted down my valve/lifter tick, and it makes the oil turn dark pretty fast.
Recently, before each oil change, I drive the Jeep for 1hr or so, then add .5qt of ATF and let it idle for 30 mins or so. Oil is always black when I change it at 2500 miles.
Hoping that this will help clean out the motor slowly, to avoid any chunks breaking up, but I might try the B12 Chemtool for a more powerful flush after a few more slow-cleaning cycles. The head under the valvecover doesnt look that grungy though.

I was told seafoam is a good solvent when mixed with the oil. I've been told to go the diesel oil route, kerosene, and seafoam. Seafoam seemed to be the most suggested. I'm not sure how aggressive diesel oil will be, and i'm not sure if being more aggressive is necessarily a good thing. I'm open to suggestions...

I did a few 2000 mile OCIs when I got the truck to help clean it out a bit. Pretty sketched out doing an ATF flush.

Now that right there is FUNNY !!! If the rings suck gas it would smoke a bit too as well as have low compression... To get gas into the oil it would require a leaking injector or failed ignition on at least one cylinder...
