Don't know the torque specs off the top of my head but its not that tight, in the 20s if I'm not mistaken.

Tip to help you avoid breaking the plastic CCV valves. Don't try to remove them from the valve cover. Most likely they'll break. I would disconnect them at the air box and intake manifold so they come out along with the valve cover.

Another tip, you may need to move one of the thermostat housing hose clamps to make clearance to remove it.

Use a blue felpro gasket.

If you are using a new Felpro blue rubber gasket with new grommets, and the original torque limiter inserts, the torque is 85 in. lbs.

If you are using a cork gasket I have no idea what the torque would be.

If you're doing the valve cover gasket then spend the extra $10 for new ccv valves and grommets. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Tips:

Disconnect all cables from the throttle body so they aren't in the way.

If you do the ccv valves and grommets, use a torch on the grommets and they come right out. Use a swinging motion with the torch so you don't over heat a small area.
