Vehicle gun safe
Now that my state will soon be honoring the Bill of Rights and we the People will have concealed carry, what are great options for vehicle gun safes?
There will be times when the gun need be left in the jeep, say a run into the post office or other prohibated places.
The safe should be out of sight, and secure, prefer a key lock but combo will be ok. What do you recommend, and where do you mount them?

I will assume that California will write the laws regarding concealed carry and/or vehicular carry with much ambiguity, complexity and obtuseness that any exchange with law enforce will be a tangled one. Best to become more familiar with the laws than the average law enforcement. My state allows concealed carry in a vehicle without a license or concealed carry permit with a few conditions, you must be "18 years of age or older to possess a concealed firearm or other weapons for self-defense or other lawful purposes within the interior of a private conveyance, without a license, if the firearm or other weapon is securely encased or is otherwise not readily accessible for immediate use." And there is no law that states you must tell law enforcement that there is a weapon in the vehicle, unless they ask. And these laws differ from state to state.....such as Georgia, our neighbor to the north, there vehicle carry law reads "Any person who can legally own a handgun can possess a loaded handgun in a vehicle"

I've yet to see a sign that keeps guns out of anywhere...
I do get what you're saying though, any small handgun safe should be sufficient. Bolt or stitch weld it into the vehicle to keep criminals from absconding with it if left behind

Good luck with California , they will make it hard and it will cost you so much and it will get tied up in court for years and then not do any thing to make it easier to get a concealed carry . I know I live here and want to leave this state when I retire .

It's better to get tried by 12 than carried by 6.
