Hi, great title, huh?

I'm doing my first trans rebuild this weekend and I would like like some advice on a good puller tool (preferrably something sold at Autozone or Sears) to help me take it apart.

Any advice is greatly appreciated as always. I'm very excited about this as I believe its the ultimate "one-up" to the current thread "what did you do to your XJ this weekend?"

ummm automatic or manual (ax-15 or BA/10).......hope you have done it before. the first 5 I did were 3 speeds and they took like 6 hours (CJ trannys)

I tried messing with an TH350 and replacing the clutch packs one time....took like 4 months to get that thing put back together.

Just a word of advice, get a FSM.

to pull the pump out of them i use 2 vise grips on the front pump and give a good pull. on a c4 i did i took the valve body out and used a pry bar to push the gear train foward, may not work on a jeep tranny though

thanks for all the advice. I'm not sure what the outcome will be, but its the process I find most interesting.
