want to run 37's.. ?'s on lift
i want to make a weekend mudder out of two 80's cherokees. i am goin to start the project pretty soon and am wonderin what size and type of lift should i get in order to run 37's. cutting or trimming to fender wont be a problem because this project wont see anything but mudd. any help would be great as i am not yet used to these cherokees. thanks NATE

Picture would help. But I'm guessing you have a Full Size Cherokee right? If so I need to move this into the right area..

so around 4inches of lift with lots of trimming is what the verdict sounds like? i could also get an older ford and or older dodge to use as donors for axles/suspension? would this be a good thought?

You will break axle after axle with 37's you'll break them with 35s unless you beef them up then you'll break the diffs. I would suggest at least 6in lift for 35's and at least an 8in for 37's.

or just trade the 2 cherokees for an old fullsize ford or dodge and put 37's on that and call it a day lol

lol now i was really considering that.. but i do really like the look of the cherokee... how hard do u think it would be to swap out the suspension and axles of a 90's dodge into a cherokee?

imo its easier to just get some control arms than spend the time fabbing up a front crossmember and rear mounts, some shackles, then snaking your steering around the leaves, then being stuck with a sub-par suspension
