I used the same carpet cleaner (Bissell) I use to clean my house carpets. It sucks up the water really well. I spray the carpet and seats down real good, almost WET instead of just damp with some of the cleaner, then use the hose attachment on the carpet cleaner to scrub and suck out the water/cleaner solution. The majority of the solution doesn't actually "soak" into the seat, just sits on the surface and barely penetrates. Comes out great. And it does a good job at getting the majority of the wetness out. You could also just use the regular carpet cleaner solution that goes in the carpet cleaner machine. If your worried about it staying wet for too long, you could put a space heater in the jeep so it stays warm and dries faster. Just leave a window cracked. And do this in a safe and responsible manner so you don't look out the window and see your jeep on fire. But I've never had an issue with them staying wet, or mildewing, especially if you do it in the summer... Winter may be a different story unless you live somewhere it doesn't get super cold. Heck you could even clean them, then use a wet/dry shop vac to really move some air through the seat fabric to help dry faster.

When I first got my '00 I decided to give it one thorough cleaning.
So I pulled out all the seats and went at it.
The interior was not to bad. I did find a couple of the obligatory McDonald's french fries in there.
I used the Turtle Wax Carpet Cleaner on the carpet and Upholstery Cleaner on the seats.
Used a wet vac to clean all that.
Touched up the rust on the seat bases and put it all back together.
She never really gets that dirty so maintaining her is pretty easy.
At some point I might put some form of sound deading material on the floor.
Which means I will pull out the whole carpet.
If I do figure go at the carpet with some diluted Purple Power.
Or maybe break down and buy a new one. LOL.

Slightly related, to put the final touches on drying out the interior I got a tub of Damp Rid from Amazon. If you don't know it, it's a bucket of dessicant with a clip on lid for when you're not using it and a permeable membrane/plastic lid underneath for when you are. Unless you're bouncing around offroad you can just jam it behind a seat and it'll all stay in the bucket and soak up the moisture in your Jeep.
It worked really well for me after I stupidly left the drivers window open overnight and got a nice soaked carpet.

Tuff stuff has always worked good for me, smells nice.
Before my carpet goes back in its gonna get scrubbed with diluted LA's totally awesome and then washed up with a rug doctor upholstery attachment.

I hear Chemical Guys makes some good stuff. I've only ever used their air fresheners. The "Leather" and "new car scent". Both of them smell surprisingly just like what they are supposed to. Leather and new car. not at all fruity or musky like cologne. Leather really does smell like leather, or dang near it.
