WP went on real smooth I used edelbrocks gaskacynch , I looked all over for the original gaskacynch, only to find out they went out of business .
Pumps in and torqued to 22 lbs power steering blots to 25lbs hope I'm doing this right lol
The thermostat housing I'll just go by feel due to the broke bolt in the head.

Neat thing about GasgaCinch is that it's easy to clean off next time.

I use it regularly along with Indian Head, Permatex 1,2, and 3.

Definitely !
Just got the oe thermostat part #8350 1426 ad- 001 does the round gasket go on the front?
And it came w/ this cork gasket too.
And wonder if I'll be ok putting a little high tack around the bottom bolt hole that I have to drill out on the main gasket?

I've never seen, or heard of that round thermostat gasket. (done a zillion Btw). I'd skip it myself. Spring in, hole up at 12:00. A note, if you drop anything find it! I once dropped a washer that went on (your broken) lower bolt. There is a "maw" that can feed it right into the lower, crank timing belt pulley. I looked forever, didn't find it and went on. As soon as I fired it my belt blasted to threads!

Been in the industry since the late 70s , sealing technology has done nothing but improved but one thing is for sure RTV has caused many an issue at the hands of inexperience.
Oil system issues being one. Good day

Agreed. Hands of inexperience is a huge factor. Well stated and true.

Rtv comes in many flavors.. Go to the manufacturer of the brand you are using via the web and look up which one you should use. They are not created equally. Some have very specific purposes.

Correct. What is that blue stuff intended for? Seems to do real crappy with oil. I only say this because I've had to remove it to fix the leak it was supposed to fix for someone else.

What I think you're not seeing in the photo is the other passage in the housing!!

Use the fancy gasket we pointed out.

Here is a link that may help with permatex brand products and what they are designed for. http://www.permatex.com/resources/product-guides

Blue is rated for coolant and oil
