Default Waterpump ( bearing?)

1999 Jeep XJ app 270k miles.

I have a squeaking bearing that I feel sure is coming from what I have heard called a water pump bearing. I am not sure if that is the correct name for as it is not a part of the water pump.
It is the bearing behind the clutch fan and hub that is pressed into the ac compressor bracket. I have been unable to locate one and feel that may be because I am searching for the wrong name of the part.
Thanks in advance for some clarification.

The clutch fan shaft is a water pump bearing pressed into the clutch fan support/mount

Replacing it isn't hard. There's write ups on almost every forum and videos on YouTube.

The only difference between the original bearing and the replacement is the replacement is a little bit longer and sticks a little bit further out the back of the fan shaft support/mount.

I have the part number around here somewhere.

NSK part #665325 or #885586 which superceded it.

This is good write ups with good pics.

Omix 808129 41-71 Jeep impeller bearing, this is the part I used to replace mine. As stated before there is numerous videos out there for this fix, and it is longer on the back end does not affect anything.

I have read the Omix bearing is poor quality, I used the NSK

In my '96, it was needed to cut both front and rear shafts shorter (slowly dont boil the internal lube)

Its important to take measurements or the pulley will not be correctly aligned

Take care to press on the correct parts of the bearing when installing, or you may wreck it

Warning Will Robinson! That will explode like a grenade, happened to another poster couple of weeks ago

If there is any fore-aft play in the fan blades, park it up till fixed, mine would not have lasted 100 miles,

I swapped a complete used bracket with bearing until the part arrived

Thank you for this. My xj is a 99. Do you think there is any difference in that part number for 95 and 99?
I found that part number and there is now a 885586-B. I am going to try to call NSK.
I haven't found any place that references that part number with a particular year xj or vice versa.
