Check the ujoints. I had one in a truck that acted like this. Grab the drive shaft and push it around, keeping close watch of the "X" of the joint. I call the "X", the piece that the bearing caps connect to. In my experience that when looking at the "X" and bearing caps, when you see shiny metal, time to replace. I don't know if that theory works in Jeep, but it did on my 03 Dodge, and I replaced slot if them

I had the same problem. What I did was change the fluid in the tcase and put new shocks with jks bar pin eliminators and ujoints Not sure which one solved the problem but it's gone.

It's a mount that puts preload on the shock bushings. It helps eliminate thumping noises from the original mount. Not really necessary on new shocks....until the bushings wear out that is The noise comes from worn out bushings.

I said I wasn't sure which one fixed it but I'm pretty sure it was the u-joint. It had lost a few if not most of the needle bearings and had metal to metal contact. It would clunk really loud changing gears and would make a grinding noise driving at low speeds.
