Default Weird vaccuum issue on a 89 XJ

Hello,

I bought the REM to monitor my engine and I recently started getting loop fault: lean. I checked my vacuum readings and when accelerating the vccuum goes from 15 Hg to 23 Hg and the MAP pressure goes from like 12 to below 10.
I've replaced the O2 sensor and fixed a vacuum line that connects the MAP sensor to the throttle body. Fuel filter is also replaced.

What else could it be?
I think I'll start by refreshing the grounds (I added a new ground wire from the firewall to the intake manifold)

You were lucky to find a REM available to purchase. The MAP readings (vacuum and manifold pressure) should always equal atmospheric pressure when added together. (Sorry, I don't mean to sound remedial if you already get that), do they? What your describing is rather low indications that are working contrary to design.

Hey, thanks for the response. I'm going to check if they add up but even if they are some how "mixed", I'm still getting a loop fault: lean when accelerating and my fuel mileage has gone from 12.8l/100km (around 18mpg) to 14 mpg on the highway so something has to be off

Make sure your intake manifold bolts haven't loosened up.
