Got the brace for the passenger seat welded up today, needless to say I think itll do. Also had to drill a new hole for the seat moung. I no longer have any rust thanks to the rust converter (Thank God) the last thing i have to do is prep the metal back up and lay down some sweet silver monstaliner and be done.

OK guys, I may have the solution for the OP. My XJ was doing exactly the same thing. Standing water when it was out in the riain, just on the passenger side though. After looking and looking I finally had a friend spray the passenger side while I sat in the Cherokee and watched. My water was getting in by running down inside the door. The weather strip at the bottom of the window was worn and cracked. Water was running down in the door out the drain holes but there was so much that it was backing up into the floor boards. I replaced the weather strip and now I am dry as a bone inside.
OP, look at that and see if that is where your water is getting in at.

Alright I found the culprit today I had a leak under my heater core and the vacuum line on the passenger side
Then the guy i bought it from decided to cut the boot for the electrical wire that comes through the firewall to make room for the amp wire he sooo brilliantly installed.
Either way I got everything sealed up and commenced to due an extreme water test ( i just sprayed alot for like 5 minutes) and ta da there fixed

Up in front there is a seam that goes across sprayed rubber , Most miss it becuase it looks ok but it needs to come out and will have holes under it. I replaced my floors and lined right up to that seam and dam if there where holes under it.

Check the rubber boot that is between the door an the boody. They put the boot there to protect the wire harness that is there an if u dont have the boot i bet u thats were ur problem is. Let me no if this helps.

Got my Duplicolor Bed liner with Kevlar and put on 2 coats on my interior its looking hella better.
I really like this stuff I picked it up at my local Advance Auto Parts on sale for $69.99 (Checked Autozone and all they had was the Rust-o-lem and that crap aint UV protected)
And it came with a roller pan, with a paint roller, paint brush, stir stick, and scuff pad. It is an entire kit with everything you need except the obvious for prepping (Water and cleaner).
The stuff looks great and doest smell at all; minus a little bit of fumes.
Im pretty pumped that theres no more carpet to worry about staining and my floors pretty much never going to rust
Oh yea there is 2-sides to metal and I definitely picked up some rustolems rubbing coating spray for fenderwells, undercoating, etc. to spray the under carriage.

it really feels bad when something you love was turning messy!!!same problem with my friend here,,,but what she did was finding out the leak, maybe on the floor itself or windshield seal...It is necessary to fixed it as early as you can.

looks good
Hey sorry i don't have pic's, Looks good. I see you went up as far as i did in front. Up by were rubber pad come's down right where your feet would be sitting when driving is a rubber pad, Under that is a rubber seam mine looked fine so i left it alone. Then one day i got in and saw water soaked passanger side. There where holes under that rubber seam so i cut it out and fiberglassed it.

Fiberglass is a good alternative. I actually went all the way up to the major weld under the rubber mat and with my rubber floor mats in and with the interior back in place it looks really good. Well alot better then the rust covered garbage it was.
