Default What is this?!

Ok yesterday in all my brilliancy went out wheeling a little bit alone. being 2wd i couldnt do much so i didnt try anything hard. But when through a dam sand/rock garden and got high centered on the crossmember. no damage to anything else tho.

I look down at it today and find this

the wire on the left side of the top picture is the connector.

My question is wtf is the connect to??

I have a 01' 2wd auto if that helps any

The speedo works. Whats the NSS? and the back up lights work fine. Remember its next to the tranny

Its not the NSS, thats a 6 prong plug (or maybe even more prongs)
Also, the jeep would not start if the NSS is unplugged

4WD Indicator Light Switch connector.

All XJ's have them. Even the 2WD models.

Just zip-tie it up out of harms way.
