what axles do i have?

what axles do i have?
alright its an 87 cherokee chief 4x4 5 speed 4.0 litre. i know the rear axle is a dana 35 but the front i have no idea if its the same or not or what the front gear ratio would be. can anyone help me out? tryin to find some parts i broke my lower spring mount on the front of the drivers side

Front gear ratio should be same as the rear! lol. Lift one tire and rotate wheel one turn and count how many times the driveshaft rotates. That should get you close enough to get you the right ratio. To be exact, pull diff cover and count teeth on both ring gear and pinion and divide the two (number of teeth might be stamped on ring gear).

No, not more than likely. If his Cherokee is stock, He has a Dana 30. the question is the gear ratio. Since its a 5spd the ratio is probably 3.07. There is a much easier way to check the gear ratio. If it still has the Diff tag it'll be on there

yeah its stock, guy before me owned it almost 20 years. ill go see if the tags are still on there, he took decent care of it so just maybe
