In March, I will be 7 years on my Walmart battery. Even on the coldest days of winter so far, it has cranked over with zero issues.

There was a day when Interstate was really something, but that was decades ago. I see they are currently made by Exide. Explains a lot, as I’ve had worse experience with Exide than any other.

So I just get Walmart batteries. Because they’re price competitive, and they do seem to last a long time without problems. And the stores are open longer than parts stores.

I did the inadvertent Group 58 to Group 34 upgrade today as Costco didn't have any 58's left. The 34 fits fine if you shave off the lip of the battery tray that faces the engine. I did it without removing the battery tray using a mini cutoff wheel tool. Battery was $99 and comes with a 3-year warranty.

I've had die hard (back when that meant something), ac Delco, farm n fleet (poop on a stick j/k imho), wally, Kmart, dura last, etc.
non last in winter in the rust belt. 7 yrs. would be a miracle lol. Best I've found to do is try to maintain them with trickle charger and preventative maintainance. I literally remove the it safety tabs and refill the acid. Recap and deep charge for a few hours. Even doing that ill get maybe 3 to 5yrs.
