Those are the most important "UPGRADES" to start with. If you haven't done those forget the rest they don't mean ***** if the basic's are done. I'm not trying to rain on your parade but these are very important to your build.
This has been done....so you didnt rain on my parade.

I ment aside from what I consider basic maintenance...like you mentioned about...

Ditched the 35 for a 29 spline 8.25. Then disc braked and Aussie locked it. Best mods I have done so far!

I guess a full spring coils/leaf/shocks lift kit and trimming fenders to make room for 33x12:50x15" tires.

Free: Removing a shim from my A/C fan clutch to get it working again.

Paid: $25 for a pair of GE Nighthawk replacement headlights. Or, a $9 cassette adapter so I can listen to music from my phone.

Putco harness upgrade, and I think my favorite mod so far is my rear disc conversion on my 8.25.

In other mods, I really love my 10" LED light bar, heavy duty winch bumper and interior LEDs.

interior leds good. I like the blue. They give off a soothing yet sinister glow

I bet I stared at those two little metal bracket shoe spreader pieces for an hour or better trying to figure out how they went together. I still haven't hooked it up though, I had to cut my factory cables to remove them..still need to get replacements.

I also didn't use Loctite on the backing plate bolts. I haven't seen that recommended previously. I plan on removing them again eventually when I redo my axle anyhow. I did use blue loctite on the carrier pin retaining bolt, though. And I've seen a lot of people say that it's a 1/4" bolt, but mine was 5/16".
