I've seen mixed reviews on the CSF and Champion radiators. If I were going to spend that kind of $, I would buy the Mopar HD one if it can be found anymore.

Money isn't the biggest issue for me at the moment. The biggest issue is overheating, and this summer I gotta drive 10 hours straight to the New Mexico and Colorado mountains in the middle of the hottest part of the year for a very important trip - scattering my late father's ashes at his favorite fishing site. I would happily pay twice the price for 10% better cooling.

Also, Rock Auto is showing me that it's $190... ??

I would honestly stick to a Spectra radiator, I have seen reports of the end tanks on the aluminum multi-row radiators leak over time. The Spectra ones are a safe bet. Consider a FlowKooler water pump though, higher quality than the stock replacements, but doesn't flow that much more over 2k RPM

I have no problems with mine, even towing with the A/C on at highway speeds. Drove it from Denver to Tampa, and the engine temp stayed pretty consistent.

I would recommend flushing it some more. Just run straight water, possibly consider Cascade dish detergent or Amway SA-8 laundry detergent. Both are low/no suds so safe to use because they will minimize cavitation. Google Amway Sa-8 radiator flush and see for yourself. I would run it for a week or so, then flush 3x with Clean water or until you are 100% sure you got all the detergent out. Then change or inspect/back flush the radiator and heater core

This one? http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....180370&jsn=401

It's actually hard not to find a radiator that doesn't have mixed reviews.

Maybe the Mopar one is the way to go.

Good point. I'm not 100% sure that's the HD Mopar. I know it's supposed to be thicker than the normal OE one. I think it came on some of the XJs with the tow package.

Maybe I'll get the Spectra single row, and spend the extra money I saved on the electric fans and a Dirt Bound radiator fan shroud

I really wanted a 2-row, but maybe it doesn't matter

I put a 2 row CSF on my YJ and it was fine; put the CSF 3 row in my XJ about 6 years ago now after the factory one blew up and it's been fine as well (hood vents and Dirtbound shroud w/SPAL e-fans keeps everything between 205-210F). They fit like a glove and have all of the factory fittings exactly where they're supposed to be. Number of row performance seems to be as subjective as to what oil is the best. It shouldn't really matter, so long as you don't let corrosion build up to the point where it begins to restrict cooling performance. I flush and fill mine every 2 years.

From what you are describing you want this, https://www.flex-a-lite.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=315960. It is incredulously expensive. From what you are experiencing maybe you need this, http://www.wixfilters.com/Lookup/PartDetails.aspx?Part=5470 with a filter: 24069, 24070, 24083, & 24084 are the additive free ones. It is pretty affordable.

You can watch these first three videos to figure whether that it is right for you or not. google.com/search?q=nickintimefilms+coolant+filter

That's the one my jeep came with, part of up country package in 1999, and it lasted 18.5 years. Never overheated on numerous rock trails, in the heat, with a/c on. When it started leaking, I put another one in. It will be the last one unless I hit something.

In the past I ran the later model "HD/Tow" package radiator which is a single thicker than normal core, rather than the earlier 2 core tow package radiators. Worked great for me. It seems as though in all of the multitude of overheating threads I've read the 3 row rads are more trouble than they are worth and if you have a good proper cooling system and no head gasket leaks or the like a stock system works just fine.

This works fine and I am kinda amazed by the quality for the price. Edit : Also lifetime warranty

I went with the $63 Spectra radiator from Rockauto. Did me well in Florida heat and still going strong in Alaska.

Does a two core radiator cool better than a three core? The uber expensive Mishimoto is two core.
