Default What do I need for rear bearing replacement???

Ok...So my rear wheel bearing are leaking...it's running down my tires, and the noise it is making is like a train when driving. What would I need to remove the bearings, and install new ones along with seals?

Can you guys post some links to what tools I will need to rent, and what wheel bearings/seals I will need.

I think it's a pretty straight foward fix so hopefully all goes well...

There`s a nice video on YouTube of someone doing a step by step rear wheel bearing replacement on an XJ. I'll look for the link tomorrow. It`s all just common hand tools except you'll need a slide hammer and a special puller to get the bearings out.

It all depends on the axle
D35 C-Clip
D35 Non-C-Clip
8.25"
Some other non-stock for a 1990 XJ axle?

If you're sure it's not the brake cylinder leaking...

Remove the diff cover/drain gear oil.
Remove wheels, drums.
Remove crosspin retaining bolt and then remove the cross shaft
Push the axle shafts inboard, then remove c-clips and slide the axle shafts out
Pry out the old seal
Use a slide hammer to remove the bearing from the axle tube

Install new bearing and seal, then reassemble in reverse order.
