Here is a link by Yucca man on control arm lengths for proper positioning of axle: http://www.yuccaman.com/jeep/re_db.html
Scroll to the bottom of the page to see the lengths in his chart.
I would argue with you wiky. I had a rc lift on a '89 xj and it rode like crap! Perhaps just my experience, but I have read on many a forum of other xj owners having the same experience. I would upgrade if possible or go with Rubicon Express lift if financially fundable. Nice thing about the internet is when you find several sources saying the same thing, it is often true. I wish I would have realized this when I bought a lift from Rusty's, ignoring what the greater number of people were saying in the forums.

I will give you my opinion, but again, check over at naxja and do some searches there. My Rusty's shocks were bad in about 3 months, my front springs sagged considerably in about 6 months and my aal was flat in about 2 months. Back then I had only taken my xj offroad once and never hauled anything heavy. Rusty did replace my aal with a spring pack when I paid the difference. That spring pack is still on my jeep and is working fine for now, but I now have RE springs up front and RE shocks all around. I think they are just fine if you will not take your jeep offroad. Don't take my word for it though, do a search at NAXJA.org or search the web. You won't find much good.

You're probably right, I haven't had anything else on this Jeep, so I don't know what I'm missing. But for the price, you can't beat the RC shocks.
I'm taking a brake from doing anything major to my Jeep atm, I'm stationed in Guam for 2 years and parts here are EXPENSIVE!
Once I get back to the states, I'll proly upgrade.

I am not busting RC, or not trying to. They make good stuff, but you get what you pay for. If I had to do it all over again though, I would start my build with Rubicon Express, cause right now I am buying my lift stuff for the third time, just to finally get it right. RC has really good customer service though, from what I hear.

That they do. I ordered a set of 4 shocks from them, and one of the front shocks wouldn't decompress. I called up RC and they sent me two new shocks for free, they showed up in like 2-3 days.
