Just to be double clear, really you can't mess that up. (changing the rotor). What you are reading about is indexing the dizy after it has been removed.

Hey, no one said this stuff is easy.
People don't pull $100/hr+ for trivial work.
Minimum wage is $7.hr

YES!! That's what I was thinking about.
Very glad the cap/rotor is not a big deal
Why would someone need to pull off the entire distributor anyway?

LOL, what rock do you live under?

Labor rates these days can be anywhere from $80.00 an hour to double that amount and more.

In NJ, your local shop is around $100.00 per hour, and the dealers are between $165-250 per hour.

No, I still need to order the parts.
I'd like to get to it before winter.

My next projects are the rear shocks and headlights.
Been putting these off for almost a year.

Labor rates you pay the shop have nothing to do with how much the guy doing the work pulls in, like you implied in a previous post.

Yeah, but common sense goes along way as does comprehension. Just saying.

Yeah but labor rates are what it says on the bill you end up paying. He is spot on for those rates in NJ too, by the way.
Also I bet those incredibly detailed write ups help a lot of less experienced people. I just like most of you disagree with his time for the work.

Nobody fixing vehicles is making $100/hr, except maybe the odd time a master tech with Caterpillar goes out to fix something on site making overtime.

I want to work at the dealer that charges 250 a hour. My shop charges 110. But I make no where near that.
