What Gearings Ratio for a 4.5" lift

What Gearings Ratio for a 4.5" lift
Looking into new gears for my jeep and wondering what ratios some of you are using for around the 4.5" lift range. Any input would be great!

shooting from the hip.. i say 4.11s (assuming 4.0 HO, auto 3speed, 33s and a daily driver)

Correct me if Im wrong but the lift doesn't have much to do with your gears. It's your tire size and engine, like mentioned above. Your going to have to comensate for the larger and heavier tires your engine is pushing. Which is why we regear. I have 33's and I plan on running 4.56:1 gears. Hope this helps.

I'd say 4.10's.
It will have lots of low end.

Dude, before you lift your rig, you need to ask yourself "whats its for?"
Take it from a guy who knows; I've got 32's and 3.07!
Talk about dog city! When I go for 4-lo its fine, but for highway, nuh-uh.
Re-gear to 4.56 or 4.88 first, then every tire from 32" to 35" will be ok.
I would say 4.56 is a good "safe zone", good DD, and good offroad.
And leaves you a more flexible tire option
(anybody else can "chime in" here too and correct me)
Then decide on tire/lift.
Re gear is in my immediate future as well
My main mistake as a nOOb was coming from that "hillbilly" school of thought, that lift, and lift alone is king.
But lift is useless if you cant get power to the ground for traction=overcoming those obstacles.
Hell my sister's bone stock XJ can go almost anywhere I can, until my clearance/flexibility comes into play........these trucks are capable machines!
Over the last two years I've learned much.........but thats the learning curve.

Hey guys sorry it took so long to reply but Ive been busy with work and I should have gave more info last night but once again was in a rush. Like mentoioned before though I have 31's mounted with a 4.0 litre. What do you guys think though 4.10's or 4.56's?
