what have you jerry rigged on your jeep?
ok so last night i was cruising around town with a buddie and all of a sudden i heard a little snap and the gas pedal went straight to the floor. i knew what it was right away so i pulled over and started looking at where it attaches on the carb and it was still there. looked at the pedal and found that the cable part had ripped through the plastic peice that attaches to the pedal... i didnt know quite what to do so i tried taping it with electrical tape not thinking it would work but i prayed. it didnt
so my buddie came up with this idea hahahahaha it got me home to where my tools were and i threw in a new cable.
hahahah i took a key ring off the key chain and put it on the cable to make it big enough so it didnt just slide threw the plastic attachment on the pedal hahahah
the things we do to get home

I have a licence plate covering a rust hole in my pass floorboard. Also have used a leather belt and some bailing wire to replace a broken alt brkt. Untill I got back to the camp site.

I had to get creative with what I had on hand to make a new engine ground strap. used an old battery cable from another car and some crimp ends, one of which had to be drilled out to fit the stud on the engine.
other than that there are no riggings. I have not had it long though.

I actually haven't "rigged" anything on mine yet. Im in the process of de-rigging everything the PO did. Its not to bad, just a few funky wires and hoses.
I have done some crazy stuff to get vehicles home tho.
Back in 88 when i was in high school i had a 74 monte carlo that i swapped a pontiac 455 into. I didnt have a long bolt for the motor mount, so i just stuck a long screwdriver thru it so i could get to my auto shop class. well needless to say, it didnt stay in there. As i was pullin up to the auto shop, i punched it to show off, the screwdriver fell out, motor tipped up and pulled the throttle cable, holding it wide open, so i went barreling thru the parking lot at about 150mph untill i gained my senses n shut it down... Good times
Now that im older n wiser, i dont rig things like that anymore... Now i use duct tape

my jeep is convieniently the exact same colour as duct tape so that one little spot i've got that the body is rusted through on my right rear quarter i covered up perfectly by one clean strip of the stuff.
Also, my neighbour ripped my bumper mounting bracket with his truck when i was pullin him out of his feild (he figured that was the logical place to hook on; i was sittin in the driver's seat waitin to go so i didnt know where he put the chain..) and now the left rear fender is held on by a zip tie after a long battle to put the bumper back in place resulting in that one little bolt not lining up with the hole :P

While changing the distrubutor cap I snapped one of the mounting bolts Not having an easy-out to fix the thing I got creative and zip stripped the cap in place on the right side. Been like that for a month and a 1/2 now.
