the triple core is really really thick. it is a good radiator but somehow when i did my longarm kit, i guess between the extra body flex my fan rubbed a hole in the radiator somehow, which really sucked because it was only 5 months old. i wound up going with the oreiilys 2 row radiator which cools just as well and is not nearly as thick.

I read alot of bad reviews about the Advance Auto units needing trimming etc. Autozone unit I put in fit great and only needed clearancing where the metal line for the tranny cooler rubber the tray. The same rad as Autozone's "Spectra" brand is on Amazon for around $90 if you are frugal and can wait.

It's not worth it if the the width of the 2 metal tubes added together is less in width than the width of the OE style 1 metal row rad. The aftermarket 2 row rad is not twice as thick as the OE 1 row rad. Something to think about.

I'm digging the 2 row all metal radiator from RadiatorBarn.com. I live high up in the Rockies and our winters last for about 7 months, so cooling isn't a huge issue, but I can't stand plastic tank radiators. The cooling system is the next project on my XJ. Let us know how it goes!
