Default What was under my drivers seat???

Underneath my drivers seat there is a square patch of carpet cut out and four studs sticking up. What used to be here??? Is it something to do with power seats? My jeep has manual seats but power everything else so I thought maybe the PO swapped them out.

I would assume the floor pan from the factory is the same for manual and electric base seats.

I have a sport if it makes a difference, don't believe the PO did a swap

I do also have the factory wiring for it under there, but it looks as if it has been taped up in a factory (professional) manner.

if the jeep had power seats then there would be a block there to supply power to them. and rather than do 2 different cuts of carpet, Jeep just did the one with the hole in it for the box should the jeep be ordered with power seats. If it wasn't then no box was installed and the hole is still there.

my old 89xj limited only had a power wire/harness under the consul with a 2wire clip going to each seat.
i know this cause i took them out and wired them up in my 90 pioneer using that wire harness.

i can't remember the carpet, it was the first thing to go as soon as i got that jeep. so i don't remember if there was a hole or not.

Size: 4.1 KB.As long as the jeep's were availiable with the option,it was just whether they got order with or without, the same goes for the wiring harness, there was only one type made for the xj's so all hook-up's should be there too.Example yr 2000-01/,96-99/,90-95, I think on the years thats how they went.
